Senior Vice President Matt Coufalik is committed to Tomahawk’s mission of enhancing the safety of both the public and private sectors and the communities they serve. In his role, he collaborates with the executive team to formulate and execute corporate strategies aimed at ensuring the success of team members and clients.
Senior Chief Special Warfare Operator (SEAL) Matthew Coufalik retired from the US military in 2016 following a 20-year career in the Special Operations community. His extensive service included eight years at SEAL Team TWO and ten years at the Naval Special Warfare Development Group. Senior Chief Coufalik undertook 13 combat deployments in support of missions such as Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and various other global assignments. His exceptional service earned him accolades including the Silver Star Medal, three Bronze Star Medals with combat valor, three Joint Service Commendation Medals with combat valor, two Navy and Marine Commendation Medals with combat valor, the Defense Meritorious Service Award, three Presidential Unit Citations, and numerous other joint and individual awards. He enlisted in the Navy in 1996, completing Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL training in 1997. Senior Chief Coufalik also holds a B.S. in Strategic Studies and Defense Analysis from Norwich University.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Mr. Coufalik currently resides in Pretoria, South Africa with his wife and two children.
