We prepare bomb technicians to work alongside tactical teams and handle modern explosive devices like improvised explosive devices, a skill that’s often needed in an active shooter incident. Participants learn from Special Operations unit veteran teachers about suicide vests, impedance to assault, booby traps, movement of personnel around a suspect package in a tactical situation, and how to fully integrate the Bomb Technician into small tactical units.
This course develops and refines tactical operations leadership, mission planning, effective communication, and command and control of critical law enforcement incidents. Students learn best practices and establish standard operating procedures on both the individual and unit level. Units also learn about the importance of a Tactical Operations Center (TOC) as the hub of law enforcement tactical operations and clearinghouse of all information used to manage a police response to a critical incident. The course incorporates vital lessons learned from specialized military and law enforcement units’ responses to real-world, critical incidents.
In this course, we educate supervisory-level police officers on the proper ways to respond to and manage a spectrum of critical threat situations. This training emphasizes effective command and control and personnel/asset management to ensure the response is appropriate for the situation. Participants refine critical incident management skills through a number of scenario-based training exercises.
We customize our K9 training to fit your specific needs, unit capabilities, and operating environment. We help officers and their organization get the most out of the K9 teams so they can effectively assist and enhance the law enforcement organization’s overall capabilities. We train K9 handlers, facilitate K9 integration with SWAT teams, and assess existing K9 teams.
