William Harris is the Director of Emergency Medicine at Tomahawk. In his 21-year military career, Mr. Harris has developed extensive experience training military personnel, law enforcement officers, firefighters, federal agents, and other government agency personnel in Tactical Combat Casualty Care, Tactical Emergency Casualty Care, and Active Shooter Tactical Response.
Mr. Harris retired from the military in 2010 after serving as an Independent Duty Corpsman in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and various other global contingencies. He continues to make significant contributions to the field of emergency medicine. He serves on the Board of Advisors for the Committee for Tactical Emergency Casualty Care, shaping the standards and practices of tactical medical care. Mr. Harris also co-founded the nonprofit First CARE Provider, which focuses on empowering citizens with the knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively in emergencies.
Mr. Harris is a native of Brooklyn, New York, and resides in Charles Town, West Virginia, with his family.
